Neben den »managerial economics« (entspricht der deutschen allgemeinen Betriebswirtschaftslehre) wird v. a. die praxisnahe Gestaltung der betrieblichen Funktionsbereiche (Produktion, Organisation, Marketing, Rechnungswesen und Finanzierung) betont.
